Bukhara, 1238. Eighteen years after the Mongols destroyed the city, the

dust is rising in the west again.

You are Shomurod, a blacksmith from the village of Torob. You are not a

warrior. You have ten minutes.

Working alone, you will never make it. That is not a design opinion — it

is arithmetic. The only way to buy time is other people's hands.

· MARK a resource node and run — do not wait, your apprentices gather it

· Build a wall and the clock jumps BACKWARD: +20 seconds a section

· Hiring one artisan at the market costs 15 seconds of your ten minutes.

It is the hardest decision in the game.

· At 4:00 your instructor dies. Whatever he has not taught you, you will

  never learn.

Almost everyone loses the first run — because hiring feels like wasting

time. On the second run they go to the market first. That is the whole game.
